Teen hit crossing the street in Thornton

THORNTON, Colo. -- A teenager was hospitalized Friday morning after being hit crossing the street.

The teen was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of 108th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard in Thornton.

The teen, a 16-year-old girl, was taken to the hospital "non-emergent" with a leg injury, according to our partners at The Denver Post.

The driver stayed at the scene, talked to police and was released, police told Denver7 photojournalist Daryl Orr.
