Two officers were able to avoid injury when a man drove at them late Monday night, according to Thornton police.
Investigators said the first officer was directing traffic on Colorado Boulevard at 11:35 p.m. when the suspect drove at him.
"The officer jumped out the way and wasn’t hurt," Thornton police said. "Officers then chased the guy, who led them to 104th & Fox Street, where he rammed into an officer’s motorcycle. Fortunately the officer was able to get out the way and wasn’t hurt, though his motorcycle was."
Officers were able to stop the driver a few blocks away.
The man was arrested on suspicion of first degree assault and resisting arrest.
