A Good Samaritan in a Parker neighborhood spotted a house on fire and took action.
The homeowner said the passerby opened the family's door on Brookdale Lane just after midnight Monday and shouted for them to get out.
Three people did.
South Metro Fire Rescue got the fire out and saved the family's cat.

One person had to be treated for minor smoke inhalation.
The fire apparently started in the garage. Investigators said the cause of the fire was accidental.
