A drive-by shooting wounded a 19-year-old man Thursday afternoon in a Northglenn, police say.
The shooting happened about 1:15 p.m. near the intersection of Garland Drive and Logan Court, just north of The Studio School, according to Cmdr. Ron Haralson.
Haralson said the teen and another "intended victim" were walking in the area when the occupants of a gold Mercury sports utility vehicle drove by and opened fire.
Police said the teen was shot in the stomach and taken to a hospital. The second victim was not hit.
The school was put on lockdown for a short period of time and kids were taken to the district office at 120th and York where parents are able to pick up their children, a detective on the scene told 7NEWS.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Detective Mahan of the Northglenn Police Department at (303) 450-8868.
