A semi-truck hit and killed the driver of a low-powered scooter in Loveland.
It happened at 7:44 Friday morning at Rocky Mountain Avenue and E. 37th Street.
Police originally said this was a pedestrian crash, but a Denver7's photographer on scene saw a scooter under the semi.
Loveland police said the driver of the low-powered scooter was in front of the semi-truck at a stop sign. When the semi-truck driver turned, he hit the scooter driver from behind.
The 32-year-old victim was taken to the hospital, but did not survive. His name has not yet been released.
Police said no impairment or texting is suspected in this case. A Commercial Motor Vehicle inspector was called to the scene to inspect the semi-truck.
Loveland police said the Loveland Police Department Technical Accident Investigation team is investigating the crash.
