A semi rear-ended a construction vehicle on Interstate 25 Tuesday morning that was there to protect workers.
The semi hit a crash attenuator near Loveland, just south of Eisenhower Blvd.
"These attenuators are designed to get hit," according to Colorado State Patrol trooper Nate Reid.
Reid explained that the attenuators absorb the impact to prevent people working in front of the front from being hit.
No one was inside the truck, or near it, so no one was hurt, Reid said.
The Colorado State Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
