Loveland officer found not guilty of child abuse

Posted

Loveland police officer Robert Croner has been found not guilty on a misdemeanor charge of child abuse.

The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports a jury acquitted Croner Thursday after deliberating for less than two hours.

Croner had also been charged with felony evidence tampering, but the judge dismissed that charge at the request of defense lawyers, who cited a lack of evidence.

The 35-year-old Croner has been on unpaid administrative leave.
