LONGMONT, Colo. – A Longmont teen who suffers from various mental conditions has been missing for over a week and authorities want your help to find him.
Aravind Elangovan, 19, reportedly walked away from his home in the area of Harvard Street and Humboldt Circle at around 11 p.m. on March 31 and has not been seen or heard from since, according to Longmont police.
Elangovan is 6-foot-1 and weighs 195 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a long, black wool coat, a long sleeved blue t-shirt and boxer shorts. He was not wearing pants or shoes. He suffers from various mental conditions, police said in a missing person’s alert on April 2.
"The combination of the manner in which he left his home, the manner in which he was dressed, recent changes in weather and his emotional challenges may put Aravind at risk," police said.
He doesn’t have a car, wallet, cell phone or ID on him, police added.
Elangovan often frequents parks in northwest Longmont and the Mountain Sanitas trail west of Boulder.
Police added he is a student at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and may be trying to make his way there.
If you see him, please call the Longmont Police Department at (303) 651-8501.
