Game night? Longmont wants to make it a rental service experience

Posted

LONGMONT, Colo. – If the hundreds of subscription services – from movies to cleaning supplies – aren’t enough for you, how about adding game night to your list of monthly subscriptions?

That’s what’s happening in the City of Longmont, where a local company there is bringing board games that normally cost between $30 to over $100 to your home for the fraction of the price… just not yet.

The Boulder Daily Camera reports Longmont-based Borrowed Boards wants to get in on the subscription business, but details about how they want to go about it are still unclear.

The Camera reports the brains behind the operation, Alexander Wheaton, will offer new games, curated games and games selected by the subscribers themselves.

The pricing and how it will work are still to be refined.

The company will also add a few perks to its subscription service such as video reviews and tutorials on how to play games “that are more accessible than the printed rules that come in game boxes," according to the Camera.
