LONGMONT, Colo – An 87-year-old man who was killed by his own tractor in Longmont has been identified by the Boulder County Coroner’s Office.

Isaac Drieth of Longmont, was found dead and pinned underneath a tractor at his home in Longmont on Friday afternoon, according to the Boulder County Coroner.

Drieth was found by his adult grandson on the property north of Longmont, the Associated Press reported. Sheriff's Sgt. Andy Smith said the victim had been run over by the rear wheels of the tractor.

The man's family had dropped him off at home Thursday evening, and investigators believe he was run over Friday as he was standing beside the tractor and in front of the rear tire while the vehicle was in gear.

An autopsy will be completed and the cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.
