LITTLETON, Colo. -- Dating back to 2012, one Littleton home has been cited for multiple violations.
It was determined uninhabitable in May of last year, and the city says the owner was granted extensions to fix the home, but failed to do so.
About two months ago, the home caught fire and was declared a dangerous structure.
Wendy Landin was one of the neighbors who watched as the home was being destroyed Friday. She says she is happy to see it go.

“As our good friend Marty Olson says across the street, 'our neighborhood is a third, a third, a third, a third of nice houses — which we all have like Ben and our other neighbors, a third of kind of nice and a third of absolute hell.'”
Landin says many of the neighbors in the area have had problems with this home in the past since it was not maintained properly.
“We want to live in a safe, secure, nice neighborhood and we deserve that,” she said.
The home took one day to be demolished. Landin says she hopes the same story doesn’t repeat itself with whoever takes over the property.
