A Lakewood homeowner was injured after he was hit by a bullet in a drive-by shooting early Saturday morning.
Officers say an apartment home in the area of South Sheridan Boulevard and West Vassar Avenue was shot multiple times at approximately 2 a.m., with one of the bullets striking the victim who had to be taken to a hospital. His injuries were non-life threatening, according to Lakewood police Detective Timmy Marquez.
Another person was inside the apartment home at the time, but that person was not injured.
Detectives are investigating the shooting to determine if this was a random act or if the victims were targeted.
