One person is dead following a car crash in Lakewood early Sunday morning, according to an official with the Lakewood Police Department.
The crash happened at around 9:45 a.m. Sunday when a silver Honda Accord reportedly ran a red light at South Teller Street and crashed with a Black SUV, police told Denver7's Kyle Horan.
The driver of the Honda died at the scene.
The driver of the SUV appeared to be OK, but was transported to the hospital as a precaution, according police.
Eastbound lanes on West Alameda at South Vance Street reopened around 12:30 p.m.
