GREELEY, Colo. -- The University of Northern Colorado is set to break ground on a new $74 million building this weekend.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Campus Commons building will be held Saturday, according to Greeley Tribune. The event is open to the public.
The facility will serve as a student support and welcome center.
UNC says it has passed the halfway mark for its fundraising goal of $12 million for the new building. The university will take on more than $25 million in debt for the project and the state is pitching in $38 million.
