A suspected killer wanted in connection to a deadly stabbing at a home in Greeley has turned himself in, a spokesperson with the Greeley Police Department said Saturday night.

The search for the suspect, identified as Dmitri Sebastian Manzanares, 24, began when officers went to a home in the area of 11th Street and 39th Avenue after getting reports of a disturbance at around 3:00 a.m.

Once officers arrived, they found a non-responsive adult male inside the home with a stab wound. An ambulance crew was called to the scene and they confirmed moments later that the man had died.

The investigation revealed that Manzanares and the victim were involved in an argument that ended with the victim getting stabbed.

According to detectives, Manzanares left the scene of the crime shortly after. Hours later, at about 8 p.m., the suspect turned himself in at the Weld County Jail on active arrest warrants for second-degree murder and aggravated vehicle theft.

The victim's identity will not be released at this time.
