15 teens taken to hospital from Platte Valley Youth Services Center

15 teens were hospitalized after an incident involving Tylenol at the Platte Valley Youth Services Center, Denver7 has confirmed.

The Colorado Department of Human Services told Denver7 one student was admitted to the hospital for 24 hours. The North Colorado Medical Center confirmed 14 other minors were treated and released.

"There were concerns that a number of youth may have gotten access to a bottle of Tylenol at Platte Valley Youth Services Center," a spokesperson for the Colorado Department of Human Services said in a statement sent to Denver7.  "Two youth tested positive for ingesting Tylenol."

The Platte Valley Youth Services Center in Greeley is a co-ed, secure facility operated by the Colorado Department of Human Services and Division of Youth Corrections (DYC), according to its website.

PVYSC provides secure detention holding for youth from ages 10 through age 17, the website says.
