A woman who barricaded herself in a mobile home was arrested Thursday morning after a standoff that lasted more than six hours.

At about 4 a.m., Golden police responded to a 911 a call from a man who said his girlfriend tried to set their home on fire in the area of West Colfax Avenue and West Street. The man also told officers she was possibly armed with a butcher knife and a .22-caliber rifle.

Police said the man took his two kids and left the mobile home as police and the SWAT team were called in. The woman was found inside the bathroom of the home after several attempts by SWAT to communicate with her.  She was arrested just before 11 a.m. without incident.

No weapons were found.
