FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- It's not just football. It's not just Papa John's. It's not just Nationwide Insurance -- Peyton Manning is now leaving a mark in the cell phone protective case industry.
Manning has signed on as the spokesperson for OtterBox, the Fort Collins-based company which dubs itself as the "No. 1 most-trusted brand in smartphone case protection." He will debut in a series of ads beginning Friday on ESPN.
But not everything is peaches and cream, especially for Ollie the Otter, the company's mascot. Ollie will serve as a "second string spokesotter" as Manning starts in his new position for the team.
"I've enjoyed getting to know the OtterBox team, as it's clear they are a company that values their employees," said Manning. "The ad series does a great job in conveying the light-hearted nature of the team, and I'm up for the challenge of stepping into Ollie's shoes."
The company is also giving customers the chance to win exclusive products signed by Manning. You can learn more about that deal here.
The ads featuring Manning will run through Oct. 31, an OtterBox spokesperson said.
