FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) -- Authorities have released the name of a man who was hit and killed by a minivan after he apparently slipped on an icy sidewalk and fell into traffic in Fort Collins.
The Coloradoan reports 55-year-old John Ferris was walking on a narrow sidewalk next to fast-moving traffic before he was hit Thursday evening. The crash was one of three that happened in less than a two-hour span Thursday evening, including another that involved a pedestrian.
An ice storm Wednesday led to five fatal crashes in Larimer, Weld, Morgan and Logan counties.
