Alert grandma helps deputies make arrest

An alert grandma helped deputies arrest a man on charges of sexual assault on a child and sexual exploitation of a child.

The grandma called authorities after she said she found nude pictures of her granddaughter on a phone purchased for her 13-year-old granddaughter by an adult male, according to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies executed a search warrant at a home on South Taft Hill Road in Fort Collins, then arrested 44-year-old Matthew D. Fletcher on charges of Sexual Assault on a Child, Sexual Exploitation of a Child – Production, Sexual Exploitation of a Child – Possession and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

"The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind parents and guardians that it is important for them to know who their child is talking with online," the Sheriff's Office said.
