Fort Collins police have found and arrested a wanted man after a crime spree that allegedly included stealing an SUV, breaking into a Women's Clinic and leading police on a brief foot chase.

Fort Collins police said the SUV was stolen at 4:53 Tuesday morning after it was left running in a driveway in Fort Collins.

"After starting his vehicle, the victim went back into his home to retrieve items," Fort Collins police said in a statement sent to Denver7. "While inside, he heard the sound of a door closing and his vehicle driving off."

Officers said they found the SUV minutes later near the Women's Clinic of Northern Colorado, where they spotted a man and woman running from the area.

Officers apprehended the woman and brought her in for questioning, but the man, identified as Ian Packer, escaped.

"After searching a nearby parking garage, officers noticed an open door at the Women’s Clinic at Garfield and Lemay," police said. "Officers searched the building and found items taken from the stolen vehicle, indicating that Packer had been in the building. Officers evacuated the premises and performed a second search but did not locate Packer."

Officers said they kept searching the area and spotted Packer about a mile away. There was a foot chase which ended with Packer's arrest.
