A United Airlines passenger jet suffered minor damage at Denver International Airport on Saturday when an engine caught fire at a gate while it was being moved by mechanics Saturday morning.
DIA spokeswoman Mindy Crane said there were no passengers on board and the fire was quickly put out by the Denver Fire Department. No injuries were reported.
Denver Fire Department spokesman Mike Pylar said the Boeing 757 jet, which was on the B concourse at the time of the fire, was being checked to make sure the flames did not damage any other parts of the aircraft.
The fire was under control at around 10:18 a.m.
