Thieves steal $200 from Girl Scouts outside King Soopers in Denver

Posted

DENVER – Three thieves are on the run after stealing $200 worth of Girl Scout cookie sales in Denver Thursday night.

The theft happened at the King Soopers off of Interstate 25 and Hampden Avenue before eight o’clock.

“There were three people and one of the guys took the pouch that had all the money in it,” one of the Girl Scouts who witnessed the theft told Denver7.

But King Soopers came to the rescue and a spokesperson said the store would be giving the troop the money that was stolen.

Denver Police did not release any suspect information.
