The Denver Zoo has a new rhinoceros.
Rudy, a black rhinoceros, moved to Denver from the Oklahoma City Zoo on Tuesday.
The Denver Zoo lost its long-time rhinoceros Mshindi last September.
Rudy is 22 years old, which makes him a senior citizen. The Denver Zoo says the median life expectancy for black rhinoceroses living in North American zoos is 17.8 years.
"[The] Denver Zoo is happy to provide Rudy a home as he enters his golden years," zoo officials said.
Zookeepers say Rudy is laid-back and, like Mshindi, enjoys painting for enrichment.
