DENVER -- A person in a wheelchair died after being hit by a car near City Park Friday evening, an official with the Denver Police Department said.
The crash happened in the area of Colorado Boulevard and East 29th Avenue and was reported at around 8:45 p.m.
The person in the wheelchair was taken to a hospital where they were pronounced dead, according to Denver Police Technician John White.
The vehicle stayed at the scene, White said.
No other information about this incident was immediately available.
