DENVER -- Over 200 rounds of ammunition from 18 different weapons were fired during a gang-related shootout that left a man dead and another injured in Lower Downtown last Saturday, the Denver District Attorney's Office says.
The exchange of gunfire which involved a rifle took place shortly after midnight in the area of 18th and Market Streets. At least 16 vehicles were struck in the shootout, a DPD officer at the scene told Denver7.
Police believe the two victims knew each other and were together at the time of the shooting.
Car owners in the area had to wait more than 12 hours to get their vehicles back as police conducted the investigation into the deadly shooting.
No suspect has been caught.
