A suspected car thief is in critical condition after being shot by a law enforcement officer in North Denver on Thursday night.
The Metro Auto Theft Task Force was investigating a stolen vehicle that eventually led them into the Denver area early in the evening, Denver Police officer Raquel Lopez said at the scene of the shooting.
A PIT maneuver was used to stop the vehicle from getting away and shots were fired in the area of Stapleton Drive and Ivy Street.
