DENVER -- Rod Greiner, a financial planner, philanthropist and owner of Denver’s historic Zang Mansion, has died.
Greiner was a financial planner before the title was even created, according to his company, the American Zang Investment Council.
"He himself could help each client come up with a master plan for their assets and execute it," Greiner's memoirs said about him. "His entrepreneurial vision was to orchestrate his clients’ financial wellbeing. He was able to succeed at marketing the idea of financial planner right when the industry was starting.”
After retirement, Greiner turned his attention to youth programs through his 501c3 American Zang Education, Preservation Foundation, Inc. The foundation promotes and encourages academic and technical education for underprivileged students.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 29 in Ponti Hall of the Denver Art Museum, according to the Denver Post.
