Denver police and Denver fire were called to a middle school at different times Wednesday for incidents that turned out to be false alarms.

First, Denver Public Schools told Denver7 that a school resource officer got a tip Wednesday morning that a student had a weapon on campus.

The student was taken into custody. However, school officials later told Denver7 that no weapon was found.

Wednesday afternoon, arson investigators with the Denver Fire Department were called out to Kepner.

Officials later told Denver7 that nothing happened and the report turned out to be a malicious false alarm.

Kepner Middle School is on South Hazel Court in Denver. That's near Federal Blvd. and Kentucky Ave.
