Posted

Denver police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after he told a crew of firefighters that he hurt someone.

The Denver firefighters said they were at a grocery store in Wheat Ridge Sunday when a man flagged them down and made the claim that he had "hurt someone."

The firefighters called Wheat Ridge police who interviewed the man and determined a crime "may have occurred at a Denver location."

Denver police said they went to a home in the 3400 block of Park Avenue West and found a woman who was dead.

Officers arrested Jerimiah Halsey, 34, for investigation of first degree murder and a parole violation.

The victim's name and her relationship, if any, to Halsey has not been released. Police said the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the manner of death and the victim’s identity.
