Police say three men who entered a North Denver apartment and shot a woman early Saturday are still on the run, though one person has been detained for questioning.
The shooting happened at about 5:45 a.m. on 38th Avenue near High Street.
Police say the woman who was shot is expected to recover and was able to communicate with first responders.
Investigators were in and out of two different apartments Saturday morning. They said the suspects are black men, but did not release additional details.
Police have not said whether the intruders were attempting to rob the woman or if the suspects and victim knew each other.
Denver7 saw a man arrive to the scene in a taxi, get out and speak with police. The man appeared to be detained in the back of a squad car.
