Hick got hitched: Gov. marries Robin Pringle

Posted

Governor John Hickenlooper married short-term fiancée Robin Pringle Saturday.

The small ceremony was held at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Denver and the couple were surrounded by family and friends, according to a statement by the Office of Governor.

On Tuesday, Hickenlooper said he had "manned up" when he finally asked Pringle to marry him and joked he’d been trying to persuade Pringle not to get married but her opinion on the matter never changed.

“I just looked her in the eye and I said, 'Should we do this? Would you be willing to be my -- to get married and be my wife… It was more romantic than you'll ever know,” he laughed.

Hickenlooper proposed to Pringle around Christmas. Pringle, 37, is the vice president of corporate development for Liberty Media Corp. in Englewood.

This is the governor’s second marriage. He has a 13-year-old son with his first wife, Helen Thorpe.
