Feeling under the weather? You are not alone

Posted

'Tis the season where snuffling and coughing are what everybody seems to be doing.

“I just had some coughing and some nasal problems," said allergy patient, Darren Razal.

Darren Razal is back at the doctor's office making sure his allergies are under control and his doctor, Rohit Katial, said Darren is not alone --  a record hot September kept him busy with patients.

"We are in the midst of the weed allergy season,” said Doctor, Rohit Katial at National Jewish Health.

But there is good news as we head into fall.

"As it cools down, the weed pollen count will start dropping," said Katial.

And more rainy days like Tuesday turns out to be a good thing for those prone to allergies.

"It can give you a little bit of rest and it washes out some of the airborne pollen,” said Katial.

Doctor Katial said the best way to beat seasonal allergies is by taking your allergy medicine to insure you always stay ahead of the game for those allergies we all dread.
