DENVER — A Denver Sheriff Department deputy was arrested over the weekend on charges of assault and disturbing the peace in a domestic violence incident, officials and court records confirmed.

Daynisha Robles, 23, was arrested Sunday for her involvement in an incident Saturday.

Robles is in a relationship with the alleged victim and is accused of scraping her knees, causing red marks around her eyes and causing a bite mark and bruising on her arm, a probable cause affidavit said.

Robles was arrested at a residence in the 8000 block of East 11th Avenue in Denver.

The Denver Sheriff Department confirmed Robles' arrest but did not release more information.
