1. Denver PrideFest

What: Recognized as one of the Top 10 pride events in the country, Denver PrideFest kicks off this weekend at Civic Center Park. Enjoy activities and entertainment for kids, adults and pets; browse health and wellness booths, the youth interactive area, retail and commercial booths; and recharge at food and beverage stands while watching the famous Dogs in Drag Parade.

When: Saturday, June 17 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: Civic Center Park

2. 2017 Denver Greek Festival

What: The Denver Greek Festival is back for another year, and if you have never been, you may want to plan for it this weekend. The festival, now in its 52nd year, will be taking place at East Alameda Avenue and South Leetsdale Drive through the weekend.

When: Friday, June 16: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday, June 17: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Sunday, June 18: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Where:  4610 East Alameda Avenue, Denver

3. Colorado Renaissance Festival

What: Prepare to dress up in period-accurate fashion, bring your appetite for turkey legs and get ready to return to the past, because the 41st annual Colorado Renaissance Festival is coming back to Larkspur this weekend.

When: Saturday, June 10 – Sunday, July 30

Where: 650 West Parry Park Avenue in Larkspur, CO.

Admission: Adults $24, Children between 5 and 12-years-old $12, Children under 5 get in free.

4. Ninth Annual 1940’s World War II Era Ball

What: The Boulder Municipal Airport will blast into the past this Saturday with the 1940’s World War II Era Ball. In its ninth year, the large-scale charity ball and destination event will transport two-thousand plus guests back to the 1940’s through music, costumes, food, drinks, and dancing. The 2017 Ball will benefit The Colorado 10th Mountain Division, The Commemorative Air Force, and Rocky Mountain Honor Flight.

When: Saturday, June 17 from 6 p.m. to Sunday, June 18 at f1 a.m.

Where: Boulder Municipal Airport, 3327 Airport Road, Boulder, Colo.

5. Hammond Candies Factory Tour

What: Did you know that you can take a free tour of Colorado’s very own Hammond’s Candy Factory?  Tours run every half-hour Monday through Saturday.  Watch candy makers as they hand-pull and twist oversize candy canes, ribbon candy, lollipops and chocolate.  It’s educational fun for candy lovers of all ages.  And bonus, every tour guest gets a free candy sample.

6. Coors Brewery Tours

What: Coors has been making beer in Golden, Colo., since the 1870s. The brewery experience includes a 30-minute self-paced tour highlighting the malting, brewing and packaging processes.

When: Weekly on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Weekly on Sunday from noon – 4 p.m.

7. 88 Drive-In Theater: Triple-Feature

What: If you long for the days of the drive-in movie theater experience, you don’t have to look very far. 88 Drive-In Theater is the only drive-in theater left in the Denver metro area still showing movies. Click here for the current line-up.
