One person is dead and six are injured, after a speeding driver lost control and hit an SUV head-on.
The crash happened on Hampden Avenue at Galena Street around 2:20 a.m. Friday.
Police tell Denver7 the driver of a silver Pontiac was driving at speeds of more than 80 miles an hour when they lost control on the curve near Kennedy Golf Course. The driver hit an SUV head-on.
The driver of the silver car was ejected and died. A passenger was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Five people in the SUV were also injured.
