DENVER – One person is in critical condition and several others were detained following a shooting on Colfax Avenue late Wednesday afternoon.
The shooting was reported in the area of Colfax and Valentia just before 5 p.m.

Police said shortly before 7 p.m. that one possible suspect was in custody and the investigation was still active.
One lane on eastbound Colfax was closed as police canvassed the scene.
