COMMERCE CITY,  Colo. -- A woman was injured, and a man is in custody, after a domestic dispute early Friday morning in Commerce City.

Police said there was a report of shots fired at a house on Telluride Court, near Southlawn Park, at 1:30 a.m.

"As officers were coming into the area they could hear several gunshots and received updated information that a male party, associated with the residence, was leaving the scene in a vehicle," Commerce City Police said.

Officers said they found a 32-year-old man two blocks from the home and took him into custody.

At the home, police found a woman and a 3-year-old child.

Police said no one was shot, but the woman was taken to the hospital for treatment.
