An Adams County Sheriff's Office deputy was arrested and put behind bars at the same jail where he works.

Deputy Bob Trujillo, 40, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of assault, false imprisonment and domestic violence after Commerce City Police officers were called to a home on 75th Place, near Highway 2, on Thursday afternoon on a report of domestic violence.

"The investigation is on-going and no further information is available at this time," Commerce City police said.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said Trujillo has been placed on administrative leave.
