One person is hospitalized and a family dog is dead after a house fire in Centennial Tuesday morning.
The fire happened on East Briarwood Drive, near Arapahoe Road and Grandview High School.
South Metro Fire told Denver7 the call came in at 12:38 a.m.
When firefighters arrived they saw flames coming out of the side of the house.
Three adults and three children were in the home. All of them got out of the house, but one person was taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Officials said the family's dog died in the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
