CASTLE ROCK, Colo. -- More than a dozen softball teams played in a tournament at the Douglas County Fairgrounds on Sunday to honor the lives of three Colorado sheriff's deputies.

All of the proceeds raised at the event are going to support the families of Deputy Zackari Parrish of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Heath Gumm of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and Deputy Micah Flick of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

Seventeen teams registered for the tournament, including two out-of-state teams from New York and Texas.

The Sheriffs of Douglas, Adams and El Paso Counties all presented $3,000 checks to each of the deputy's widows at the tournament. All other funds raised from Sunday's games will also go to support the fallen officer's families.
