BROOMFIELD, Colo -- A ten-year-old from Broomfield is one of the youngest contestants to appear on ABC’s Shark Tank -- and he's making his case before the sharks on Friday evening.

Jack Bonneau told Denver7 he started his lemonade stand at the farmer’s market it Broomfield.

"Pitching in front of the sharks, was like, unreal. There was a lot of preparation that went into it. But it was totally worth it. Just a great experience," said Bonneau.

The small business was inspired by a purchase relatable to many young people.

"The way that this started was just because I wanted the Lego Star Wars Death Star. It costs $400," he told Denver7. "I asked my dad if I could get it. He said I could, but I would have to pay for it. So I'm like, 'how am I going to pay for it?' I'm 10-years-old and it costs $400?” said Bonneau. “After 12 weeks, I made $2,000 in revenue and after expenses made $900 in profit. And yes, I got my Lego Death Star.”

His business is now expanding to Southwest Plaza, Park Meadows Mall, and Flatiron Crossing during the winter months. In addition to lemonade, he’s now selling hot chocolate and cider during the winter months. The business has branched out to carry merchandise created by other young entrepreneurs such a candles and lip balm.

“I love just teaching the kids because it’s really going to benefit them in the future. I just love working with the kids and seeing them grow,” said Bonneau. He would like to expand his concept to children nationwide.

"We provide everything except for their mood and their enthusiasm. They'll have to provide that."

Bonneau said he draws inspiration from his father who is also an entrepreneur.

His father and mother both help him manage the operation.

In addition to his lemonade business, Bonneau is a karate black belt and a piano player.
