A small fire burned near the base of Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder Saturday morning.
The fire was first reported just before 7 a.m., according to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.
"Personnel from the Boulder Fire Department, Boulder Mountain Parks & Open Space, Rocky Mountain Fire Authority, Boulder Emergency Squad, and the sheriff's Fire Management Office responded to the smoke report," the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said.
Responders said they found a small wildfire several hundred yards uphill from the 800 block of Flagstaff Road, on open space owned by the City of Boulder.
The fire was about a tenth of an acre in size and was reported as contained at 9:25 a.m.
"The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation but preliminary information suggests it was human-caused," the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said.
