A woman from Boulder was crushed by a dump truck while she was crossing the street in New York City.
Elise Lachowyn, 48, was in New York for the North American International Toy Fair.
The wife and mother of a 6-year-old was en route to set up for the expo, according to Tech 4 Kids, where she was vice president of marketing.
A witness told the New York Post that Lachowyn was wearing a hooded-sweatshirt and her “peripheral vision was blocked.”
The newspaper said the dump truck driver was cited for allegedly failing to yield to a pedestrian.
Lachowyn, along with her husband, founded Think Outside Marketing, headquartered in Boulder, according to the Boulder Daily Camera.
"Elise was a highly respected, admired, and accomplished individual who will be greatly missed by all," Tech 4 Kids said on Facebook.
