The Dalai Lama will visit the University of Colorado Boulder Thursday.
There will be two teaching sessions at 9:30 a.m. and at 1:30 p.m. Watch live here.
"According to the Tibetan Association of Colorado, the Dalai Lama’s teachings are rooted in the importance of promoting compassion, wisdom, tolerance, self-discipline and religious harmony as ways to achieve lasting happiness. In Colorado, the Dalai Lama will focus on methods of incorporating compassion and ethics into daily life," CU wrote on its website.
Because of this visit, traffic and parking on campus will be impacted. Access to Regent Drive between Broadway and Colorado will be limited to people with a prepaid Dalai Lama parking permit or a valid CU Parking Permit.
Other road closures are expected as the Dalai Lama moves around campus.
The Tibetan Buddhist leader had been set to visit Boulder last October but he canceled the trip after doctors at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota advised him to rest. Recently, he told a crowd in Minnesota that he's been receiving treatment for prostate problems.
