Cyclist critical after hit-&-run, driver escaped

Posted

A cyclist hit by a car Sunday is still in critical condition.

The cyclist was hit Sunday afternoon on U.S. 36 north of Boulder.

The Colorado State Patrol says the driver of a black-colored, Chevy Cavalier was driving north of Boulder when he went into the right-hand shoulder and hit the bicyclist.

The cyclist, Gregory Zolnick, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, troopers said.

The driver of the car didn't stop.

The Colorado State Patrol is asking for the public's help to find the Cavalier and the driver. Troopers said they believe the driver is a man and that the car has damage to its right-front, quarter panel and is missing its passenger side mirror.

If you have any information about the car or driver, call CSP dispatch at 303-239-4501.
