More young people are looking to attend the University of Colorado, with the Boulder campus receiving 10 percent more applications this year than last.
The Daily Camera reports that the university has seen five straight years of increasing application numbers. This year, CU received 33,661 freshman applications. In-state applications increased 3 percent, out-of-state applications increased 12 percent and international applications increased 15 percent compared to 2015.
CU-Boulder Director of Admissions Kevin MacLennan says the campus wants to keep its next freshman class at about 6,300 students.
