Controversial wide bike lanes on busy streets are being removed in Boulder after people complained about slower commutes.
Workers began getting rid of the plastic lane makers and painted stripes on Folsom Street overnight Monday, less than three months after the city installed them. The Daily Camera reportsthey will be replaced with narrower bike lanes.
The lanes were installed as part of what the city called a "right-sizing" pilot program but city councilors voted last week to remove them.
