Woman found dead inside Aurora apartment

Aurora police are investigating a homicide that took place on Monday afternoon, inside of a northwest Aurora apartment.

At about 2:41 p.m., police arrived at 1429 Macon Street, to a woman with apparent head trauma, according to Diana Cooley, spokesperson for the Aurora Police Department.

The woman was transported to an area hospital where she died from her injuries, according to Cooley.

Officers were not able to release any suspect information on Tuesday.

Police have not released the name of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
