AURORA, Colo. — Two people were killed in a rollover crash in Aurora late Thursday night, police said.

Officers responded about 10:50 p.m. to the intersection of Gun Club Road and South Picadilly Street, where they found the victims had been ejected from an SUV.

Both victims, a man and a woman, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Their names have not been released yet.

The investigation showed that the SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed, going west on Gun Club Road, when the driver lost control. The SUV rolled over, struck a power line and pole and came to a rest, police said.

Anyone who witnesses the crash is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867) or contact the Aurora Police Department Traffic Unit.
